Lisa's Legacy encourages people to bring compassionate conversation and hope to those who are hurting by sharing bags filled with items of comfort and support.
Our Vision
Lisa's Legacy provides practical tools and educational resources to individuals seeking to help and support people facing grief, loss, or another difficult life circumstance. Our primary tool is a bag filled with comforting and useful items, offered at no cost, that serves as a catalyst for compassionate, sensitive conversation between the person giving the bag and the person receiving it.
Our four-fold vision is to:

increase awareness of Lisa's Legacy so that more compassionate people can connect with those in need

partner with compassion-based organizations in Fort Wayne and surrounding counties to build a regional distribution network for the bags

offer bags and educational resources to anyone seeking help in starting a compassionate conversation

become self-sustaining through donations, sponsorships, and grants
Lisa's Legacy is committed to being a careful steward of the time, talents, and gifts entrusted to us. We have no paid staff and are led by a volunteer Board of Directors who generously donate their time and expertise because they believe deeply in the mission of Lisa's Legacy.

Lisa’s Legacy was inspired by the life, loss, and lasting impact of our daughter Lisa. Her story is at the heart of this mission and helps explain why compassionate presence, practical support, and meaningful connection matter so much during grief.
