2026 Community Event
at the Cinema Center
On April 30, 2026, Lisa's Legacy welcomed the community to the Fort Wayne Cinema Center for its annual fundraising event, featuring an evening of connection, conversation, and support centered around the film CHEF. The event began with an opening reception in the Spectator Lounge, where guests enjoyed live cooking demonstrations from local chefs, heavy hors d'oeuvres, and time to gather together before the screening.
At 6:45 p.m., guests moved into the Main Theater for a showing of CHEF, a film about rediscovering purpose, passion, and connection after life takes an unexpected turn. Its themes of healing, love, and finding joy again made it a meaningful choice for an evening dedicated to hope and support during times of grief and loss.
This special event helped raise awareness of Lisa's Legacy and its mission to provide free grief bags and supportive resources to individuals and families coping with loss. One hundred percent of ticket proceeds from the evening went directly toward the creation of Lisa's Legacy grief bags, which are provided at no cost to those who need them. Through gatherings like this, Lisa's Legacy continues to bring the community together in support of compassion, comfort, and connection for those navigating grief.
