What is a Grief Bag?
Lisa’s Legacy kits are gift bags for someone facing a difficult life circumstance, such as the loss of a loved one, divorce, medical diagnosis, job loss, depression, or loneliness. They also create an opportunity for compassionate conversation when the bag is given.

Who It Helps
For those who are unsure how to approach someone experiencing loss, a Lisa’s Legacy Bag gives purpose and meaning to a visit. The kit is designed to bring comfort and provide helpful tools for knowing what to say during a difficult time.

How You Can Help
Our goal has always been to offer Lisa’s Legacy kits free of charge so people feel more able to reach out to a friend, family member, or co-worker in a time of sadness. Donations of any amount help cover the approximately $40 cost of each kit.

Our Story
After the loss of our daughter Lisa, the kindness of friends, family, and neighbors helped carry us through one of the darkest times in our lives. One especially meaningful visit — a small gift bag, thoughtful resources, and the gift of time — became the inspiration for Lisa’s Legacy. Today, that same spirit of comfort, compassion, and connection lives on in each bag we share with others...
